Samsung Wallet merges the existing features of Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass, allowing consumers to enjoy a seamless Tap & Pay experience, UPI payments and bill payments

Users can access digital IDs such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, driver’s license and vehicle registration certificate from Samsung Wallet

Samsung Wallet now also allows users to top up and manage their FASTag account, save flight boarding passes, and book and save train tickets

Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, has announced that Galaxy smartphone users can now access all their essential digital IDs like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driver’s License and Vehicle Registration Certificate as a part of Samsung Wallet, reiterating Samsung’s commitment to be a strong partner of India with its vision of #PoweringDigitalIndia. Galaxy smartphone users can also store their Co-WIN vaccination certificates conveniently and securely on their phone.

Additionally, Samsung introduced several new travel and mobility features in the all-new Samsung Wallet, which merges and enhances the existing Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass features on Galaxy smartphones, enabling consumers to have a seamless Tap and Pay, UPI payments and billing experience.

With these new features, users can top up and check their FASTag account, save flight boarding passes for quick and convenient access, and take advantage of a complete train ticket solution within Samsung Wallet such as booking and saving tickets, checking train status, among others. Users can add train tickets or boarding passes by scanning the QR or barcode or importing the image or PDF to Samsung Wallet.

Users will be able to show an identity document and the necessary travel documents to access the airports directly Samsung walletmaking it an extremely affordable option for them.

In addition to the four digital IDs Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driver’s License and Vehicle Registration Certificate, users will be able to log in via 2,000 more IDs/documents directly from Samsung Wallet. Samsung, however, will not store any of this information and the details will appear on your device within the Samsung Wallet app.

A dedicated team of engineers, designers and product managers at Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore (SRI-B), which is Samsung’s largest R&D center outside of Korea, developed these new Samsung Wallet features. These features are part of several India-specific features developed by SRI-B for Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Users can access UPIs, bill payments, digital IDs, travel and mobility documents, FASTags, gift cards, coupons and more with a simple tap to open Samsung Wallet from screen off, lock screen and home screen on their Galaxy smartphones.

Samsung Wallet goes to great lengths to safeguard your data in a secure environment where it is protected from malware and other potential threats. It uses several special security methods such as tokenization to protect users’ personal and financial information. In addition, the Samsung Knox defense-grade security platform constantly monitors and protects users’ mobile devices from malware and other threats.

Samsung Pay, now combined with Samsung Wallet, is the simple and secure way to pay. Make a payment with just a tap or a tap using your Galaxy smartphone and enjoy the ultimate in convenience.

Additionally, Samsung Wallet hosts Samsung Pass which gives customers easy access to apps and services through saved passwords. Availability

Galaxy smartphone users can upgrade their existing Samsung Pay service to Samsung Wallet through the Galaxy Store. The update is available through automatic mode and manual mode.
